'Freycinet' is an outstanding example of the remarkable Sun Odyssey 349. She has demonstrated the SO349's blue-water capability having cruised from Hobart to Airlie Beach (and return), a distance of 3000 nm (approx). Under sail, the SO349 is a delight. The rig is simple and easily (and safely) managed by a couple. The twin rudders ensure exceptional control at every sailing angle enhancing performance and safety. A 21 hp Yanmar 3YM20 Diesel powers the vessel efficiently and economically at 6-7 knots. 'Freycinet' is equipped with a bow thruster taking the drama out of marina manoeuvres. Below deck, the level of crew comfort is more akin to that of a much larger yacht. The interior benefits in terms of light and ventilation from the many side ports/windows and opening hatches. There are private cabins fore and aft, a full-service galley and a delightful saloon. See ACCOMMODATION below for more details.
"Freycinet" presents in EXCELLENT CONDITION, having benefited from a systematic (and unstinting) programme of maintenance and upgrades. SEE GENERAL REMARKS for a summary of works (Invoices are available).

Accommodation
Boarding access is excellent, via either the midship gates or the drop transom/boarding platform and into the spacious cockpit. Below the deck, clever design innovation has resulted in an outstanding layout and level of comfort. The engine compartment is behind the companionway steps (under the cockpit). To starboard is a private double cabin. The bathroom is to port. An access door at the aft end of the bathroom opens to a quarter cabin currently used for storage but comes with a fitted mattress (never used) providing a 3/4 berth. The full-function galley is opposite, immediately starboard of the companionway. Forward is the spacious (full headroom) saloon/dinette with upholstered settees on either side of a large drop-side dining table. The compact navigation station is to port immediately forward of the bathroom. Another private double (V) cabin is forward of the bulkhead.
