J35 Optimised - HAUPIA was designed by Rod Johnson without regard to any rating rule & built in the US by Tillotson & Pearson, she was the only one of 300 built that was imported new into Australia, where she quickly became one of the top performing race yachts in Australia
Further optimised in the 90`s with a new all lead bulb keel -Draft at 2.13 M and additional structure of laminates and stringers added to the hull to take the extra righting moment.
Customised mast using cold drawn, spun tapered & retempered tubes beautifully manufactured by Yachtmasts of Australia, her race pedigree continued to collect silverware both in her Offshore events till 2005 & lately Wednesday Afternoon events over the last 15 years
Purchased by her current owner in the early 1990`s, her latest survey from Assess Marine in late 2021 (available on request) shows she has been continually well looked after & presents extremely well.
Featuring a practical interior for family use, with head & Sink forward of main bulkhead, 2 X settee Berths & Folding table forward of Gally & Nav Station in main cabin area with 1.8 m headroom & 2 large berths aft.
