Designed and built in Italy, the Balanzone 30 boast an excellent reputation for its impressive sailing performance both inshore and offshore. Having been awarded 'Yacht of the Year' in 1982, many of these vessels were built, and have been enjoyed around the world with great success. With a comfortable cruising interior, it provides the true versatility to be enjoyed both by the family, and the competitive racer. This vessel was imported into Australia from Italy by its original owner, who raced it regularly on Sydney Harbour. It even competed in a Sydney to Hobart race in the early 80's. In more recent times it enjoyed extended cruising up to the Whitsundays, and down to Hobart where it has since been raced regularly out of Cygnet by the last two owners. The vessel has also benefited from significant upgrades including a NEW 2014 14HP NANNI DIESEL ENGINE WITH ONLY 563 HOURS ON THE CLOCK, NEW 2015 MAINSAIL, NEW 2016 SPINNAKER, and features a full set of headsails for both racing and cruising. Presenting in good condition throughout, this vessel is ideal as anything from a first yacht, through to a more discerning sailor who will enjoy the vessels excellent performance.
Stepping inside, the saloon is light and airy with a great mix of timber trims and clean white finishes. To port is the settee, with the engine box creating a generous folding leaf dinette. The galley is well positioned opposite and is well appointed with a 2 burner stove with oven, and stainless steel sink with fresh and salt water pumps. The accommodation is ideal for weekends away with the family and features a generous double v-berth forward, quarter berth aft, and single settee berth when additional accommodation is required. The package is complete with a fully enclosed bathroom with manual toilet, and fold down sink.
Outside, the cockpit deep and safe, with comfortable seating for 4. Easily managed shorthanded, the mainsheet is in easy reach of the helm, and all lines are lead back to the cockpit where the 4 self tailing winches for easy handling. The wide side decks provide easy access forward, and there is plenty of space to relax and take in the views whilst cruising.
This vessel is powered by a NEW 2014 Nanni 14HP Diesel Engine. This has been well maintained and provides easy cruising at 5 knots. Located midships with a well insulated engine box, there is excellent access for hassle free servicing.
