Horizon 39

Fully rebuilt and ready to cruise!

"Odevie" is a 1987 Horizon 39 cutter. This shoal draft vessel with a ¾ length encapsulated lead ballast keel and half skeg supported rudder was fully restored by the current owners after their purchase in late 2018. The rebuild included structural and cosmetic improvements, with all mechanical, electrical and plumbing restored or replaced. Re-splashed in 2022, she now presents as a new and modern bluewater cruiser and the current owners have been fulltime liveaboard since. She handles heavy weather comfortably and safely and steering is light and responsive.

o Engine: Repowered with Yanmar 4jH5E engine (860 hours) with new transmission and drive components (new shaft, stern tube, cutlass bearing and dripless seal 2022). New 200L fuel tank, fuel polishing system and filtration. Engine Guard alarm system monitoring engine block and exhaust system.
o Safety: Fire, CO alarms, high water alarm, and battery monitoring / temp alarm systems, VHF, Epirb, life jackets, flares, fire blanket and extinguisher...
o Water System: Rainman water maker with autoflush option and remote panel (2023), new 250L water tank, 20L hot water system, and Whale twist transom shower (hot/cold) (2022).
o Galley/Cooking: Fully rebuilt cabinetry and drawers (2022), 50L standup fridge, 35L fridge/freezer, Panasonic convection over, Induction cooktop, Weber BabyQ (2024) mounted on pushpit rails.
o Head: Fully rebuilt (2022) with all new cabinetry, plumbing, shower and electric Vetus toilet. Black water tank and pump out macerator.
o Deck and hull: New spray dodger (2024), 4 x new deck hatches and 11 x VETUS opening portlights (2022), full deck core replacement (2019), hull to deck joint fibreglassed all round and anti-osmosis treatment undertaken on hull, replaced toe rails, all fasteners and most deck hardware (2021/22). All through hull fittings and valves replaced (2022). New professional spray paint (2021)
o Rigging: Professionally renovated mast, boom, and genoa furler, new chainplates, new standing rigging including turnbuckles, new running rigging. New staysail on new REEFIT roller furler (all new 2022)
o Ground Tackle: Muir HR2500 winch and controls, 100m of chain and 25kg Mantus M2 (all new 2022), deck wash.
o Dinghy/Davits: Custom dinghy davits/solar panel structure (new 2022). Oceancraft 2600 aluminium tube dinghy (Delos style) with Mercury 3.3hp 2 stroke outboard
