Whether you want to cruise, race or just have fun then "Meltemi" is a fantastic all round yacht.
The Holland 25 yachts were designed by the New Zealand maritime architect Ron Holland in the late seventies and a few hundred boats have been produced since the 1970's and 80's.
The "Meltemi" is agreat example of these proven yachts and she is fitted out beautifully for cruising, racing or getting around the river (and beyond). She has competed at the highest level of offshore sailing having competed in the 1980 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race (sailing as "Wimaway") finishing 44th out of 93 on corrected time. She also competed in the Sydney to Suva race in 1982.
She has accommodation for 4, a small but functional galley and plenty of headroom (6') for a small yacht.
Other features include:
- Raymarine Auto-Tiller Pilot
- Midland VHF Radio
- Alpine AM/FM Stereo with speakers throughout
- Chiq 12V TV with remote
- Fire Extinguishers
- 12V Spot Light
- Solar Panel for charging batteries
- Volvo Penta inboard diesel engine
Outside, the cockpit is well protected by the spray dodger. "Meltemi" is well set up to be easily sailed shorthanded with easy access to the primary winches and the mainsheet in easy reach of the helm and all lines lead back to the cockpit. There is easy access around the side decks, and plenty of space on the bow.
