Hanse 575

This is Colie, a well-equipped Hanse 575 that we have had the chance to take out for a test sail, and she is seriously impressive. Designed for easy handling yet offering all the space and comfort you would want for extended cruising, she delivers the perfect balance between performance and liveaboard practicality.

Built by Hanse Yachts in Germany and designed by Judel Vrolijk and Co, the Hanse 575 was awarded European Yacht of the Year in the Luxury Cruiser category in 2014, a well-deserved recognition for its smart design and sailing capabilities.

With a generous beam, Colie has a spacious and open feel, making time on board comfortable whether at sea or at anchor. The saloon is well thought out, featuring an electric adjustable dining table and a comfortable U-shaped settee, great for meals, entertaining, or just relaxing after a day on the water. The galley is set up for long trips, with a double sink, a two-burner gas stove with an oven, and a microwave, plus plenty of cold storage with two drawer-style fridges freezers and a portable fridge.

Sailing Colie is a breeze. The in-mast furling system and self-tacking jib make handling easy whether you are on your own or with a small crew. The sail inventory includes an Elvstrom mainsail and self-tacking jib, along with a North G2 gennaker and an A2 asymmetrical spinnaker, so there is plenty of flexibility for different conditions.

She is well-equipped for comfort with air conditioning throughout, a Fischer Panda generator, and a Stella watermaker, so you can stay out on the water for longer without worrying about supplies. The entertainment system includes a Fusion stereo and two TVs in the saloon, making onboard life even more enjoyable.
