Description: Farr 30 / Mumm 30
Ready to race competitively with near new sails, B&G instruments and running rigging. Call or email for inspection.

Bandit is a competitive club racer that can keep up with the big boats at a fraction of the cost. With over 200 produced you'll usually find some local competition. Easy to handle, capable of racing inshore or coastal/offshore and requiring only a small crew, the Farr 30 is a cost-effective way to go racing.
Built by McDell Marine in New Zealand in 1996, hulls from this yard have stood up well over the years. Bandit has a strong PHS track record, demonstrating the enduring high performance design; notably 1st in Combined Clubs Winter Series (2023), 2nd in the CYCA Short Ocean Pointscore (23/24) & 3rd in SASC Super 30 Gold Cup (22/23).
Since taking ownership in 2022, we have brought the boat up from Cat 7 to Cat 4 safety compliance, and continued to steadily maintain her to ensure she remains competitive.
Bandit is ready to race with nothing else needed to spend, or you can take her to the next level with very little effort (Cat 3+ can be achieved with minimal cost, or even 2H if you're into that). We have documented a lot of the racing and work done on our Instagram page (sailing_the_bandit), which gives a great recent history of the boat.
