Upgraded Fareast 18 (actually 19 foot) which has had an easy life simply cruising and doing the odd race such as the Bay to Bay up the Great Sandy Straight. This boat has a cabin which is comfortable for 2 and squisshy for 3 adults to sleep in. Quality fitted foam seats and cushions included. Upgraded electrical system including 12 volt solar charged battery, new solar charge controller, switching for the installed Humminbird Depth gauge, cigarette lighter and usb charging sockets. Main breaker bypassed only by the new Icom VHF radio with GPS positioning receiver and antenna installed. All wiring in the loom is new and installed to a high professional standard. Interior lighting is independent of the boats 12 volt sytem, running on a remote controlled LED setup with night time red light function. There is a portable toilet onboard as well, this is in unused condition. Fire extinguisher and bilge pump fitted and in good working order.
The trailer is in great condition, Aluminium construction, single axle. New tyres (inc the spare) new rotors, hubs, bearings, brake pads and brake cable, as well as a brand new wiring loom fitted.

A lot of the upgrades listed and done in the past 12 months were not required, but this already wonderful little boat became an upgrade project for me since my early retirement from work. Wanting to learn the skills involved to upkeep a boat is my reasoning, as I will soon move upscale to a live aboard. If you bother to come and see this one, you'll find there is absolutely nothing left to do other than find water to sail on!

Hull is in perfect condition, glossy, clean and slick in the water. I've added an anchor roller system to the Bow, with the anchor, chain and rode stored in the helm lazarette.

Keel is raised and lowered via a removable gantry lift constructed with anodised aluminium to reduce weight. A very efficient pulley system means it's easy to raise at the end of the days sailing. The keel is Carbon fibre with a lead filled bulb weighing in at 280kg's. This increases the boats stability and speed through the water especially on the reach or pointing. She can really move when the right conditions prevail. Rudder is also 100% Carbon structure, light weight, strong and durable. I find it easy to install and beautifully balanced when underway.

Stepping the mast is done via a system which is unique and upgraded. By utilising the chain plates and a clever arm to box connected to the mast, stability is achieved when raising or lowering. There is always stress in peoples minds when stepping a mast, but this system truly reduces it to a minimum. Come take a look!

Sail locker is simple, main and jib both in great condition from UK sail makers. Rig ready for a kite but not installed or provided. Mast and boom are SELDEN, rig and sheets are in top notch condition. Cleats and running gear and furler are HARKEN made. SPINLOCK feature in a few spots as well. Soft boom vang through a pulley sytem is also included.

Fold up aluminum boarding ladder attached to the transom, easy ingress when taking a dip in the wet stuff. Sits hard onto the tarmac when on the trailer so very easy in and out on the dry.
