Professionally build classic 39FT timber yawl launched in 1990 in Canada. In 2002 she
made her way to Australia where she has been moored & well maintained initially in
Port Phillip Bay before being sailed up the east coast to Moreton Bay.
Officially known as design no#809585, this full keel yawl was designed by F. B. Spinney
and professionaly built by Doug Rosborough in Nova Scotia. She is constructed of 1.5"
thick Barzillian Mahogany carvel planked over Oak frames fastened with bronze
screws & nails.
Stepping onboard takes one back in time with her beautiful lines, varnished timber and
brass/bronze deck fittings, and going below her finish in rich mahogany timber
highlighted with brass and ceramic authentic fittings.
With her shallow draft and full foil keel she is suited to both shallow bays as well as
blue water cruising with her 12T displacement hull. Her rig with mizzen makes
handling & tacking a breeze for shorthanded sailors or couples.
Since 2018 she has been upgraded with hull re-caulked, antifouled, anodes replaced,
freshly painted & varnished topside, replace all S/S standing rigging, sails services,
new engine, new electrics/plumbing, new cushions & covers with little left to do to enjoy her now.
