CROWTHER C10 10M CRUISING CAT  

If you want a BIG volume catamaran then look no further than my Crowther C10 Cruising Cat called "Dakini". This vessel is 10m long and 7m wide, giving it a massive bridge-deck and deck area, in comparison to other 10m Catamarans. Crowther is a world famous boat builder, with a reputation for a solid blue water cruiser.

This boat was bought as a COVID project that I lost interest in and feel that someone would be better to take on the cosmetic work required to make this lovely boat look its best. I am not very skilled in painting and wood work, which this boat now needs.

The boat is a Stub keel version with centre pod for the outboard. This boat can be beached and will safely sit on her stub keels, making shallow water and beaching a simple task.

The boat was re-powered with an brand new (2022) Suzuki Electronic Tilt/start 20hp 4 stroke outboard, to make it easy to drop and start the motor when required, with controls right next to the helm seat for easy operation.

The Power, Battery and Solar were all updated with 2 x 120ah Lithium (LiFePO) batteries, new MPPT 40ah Renology Solar controller and a 6000w/3000w 240v Inverter for the house appliances and a 350w Inverter for the TV. This enables you to run an Vacuum Cleaner, Pressure Washer or Microwave, without the need for shore power.

The electronics have all been updated with Raymarine 7" Axiom MFD, Raymarine Autopilot, wireless mast top wind vane, 3 in 1 speed, depth and water temp sender, rating compass and 3D transducer. There is a 32" TV and Chromecast, that is connected to the 4G Cellular internet, with a PTZ Camera for remote access. There is a fresh & Saltwater deckwash from the starboard water tank, in addition to a coldwater kitchen and shower in the Port tank.

The boat has been reconfigured inside to provide a large seating area, with the advantage of an additional berth on the 2.1m long lounge. There are 2 double cabins in the stern of both hulls with ample storage, a single 3/4 berth in the starboard hull that is currently being used as a workshop.

There is a cruising Main and furling headsail that are in fair condition. There are Lazy Jacks and boom cover, keeping the main safe and the headsail has a UV strip.

You can see by the pictures that the boat is in need of painting. The hull appears to have acrylic paint over Gelcoat, as it falls off when pressure washing. This is a good thing, as it would be easy to remove, however makes it unsightly. The decks need to have the non skid replaced, as it is worn and bare in a couple of spots. There are professionally made stairs and boarding platform that have not been fitted, included.

The hull and rigging are solid and safe. I was advised by the previous owner the Rigging was done in 2011.

I have owned Dakini for 3 1/2 years and used it as my office, but I rarely went out, as my wife and kids did not like boating. I realised that it was being under used when 20hr motor service took 2 years and I do not want this boat to just sit and rot. This is the perfect opportunity for someone to take on the painting tasks and bring Dakini back to the condition that she deserves.
