CATALINA 42 MK II  

The three cabin Catalina 42 MKII has an international reputation as being a very capable and comfortable sailing vessel for coastal and offshore passages. This 2007 examples excellent condition is a credit to her current and previous owner who have spent no expense in maintenance and upgrades. She is in absolute sail-away condition and is ready for her next adventure.

Her interior consists of three double cabins, with the forward cabin featuring a private ensuite. There is an additional toilet and shower for convenience. The gourmet side galley provides gas cooking and a combined top loading fridge / freezer with an additional front loading door. Opposite the galley is ample seating for the entire crew, as well as a drop-down dining table if additional berths are required. Up top is a fully covered spacious cockpit featuring seating for eight, a folding table, a BBQ, and covers front, side and back panels to keep you dry when required.

An economical 54hp Yanmar delivers thrust via a shaft and Feathering prop. All batteries and solar panels have been installed or replaced in the last couple of years. Additional upgrades include a new Bow Thruster and hot water system, plus more. Water is no issue with the 70lph water maker, and a 2.2kva Honda generator is included. A full Raymarine navigational package including upgraded chart plotter and radar, and autopilot is included.

The mast and furling boom are in great condition, and the standing rigging was replaced in 2021. A new radial cut Genoa was put on in 2021, and the mainsail is good to go. An asymmetrical spinnaker and spare Genoa are included. An alloy hulled tender and 15hp outboard tops off the package.
