BRUCE ROBERTS 30 CUTTER  Just Listed

Our beautiful Bindy is a Fibreglass Robert's 30 foot sloop rigged sailing yacht with a 10 foot beam. Lovingly cared for and maintained over its entire life at the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club Marina. We have been the proud owners of this fabulous small yacht since 1996 when we bought it off the professional boat builder/ owner who took great care to make a sturdy practical coastal cruising yacht. The extra large capacity fuel and fresh water tanks along with solar panels and 4 batteries provide for lengthy cruising capabilities.

We have enjoyed many adventures on Bindy and have sailed her North to the Whitsundays via the many coastal anchorages and Great Barrier Reef. With 6 berths and separate toilet, we've enjoyed taking our children and grandchildren for many Moreton Bay over-nighters.

The yacht has a long ¾ solid keel with skeg hung rudder. A moderate draft of 4'6" suits both Moreton Bay and offers safe stability in off-shore waters. The hull was recently antifouled in June this year and was last surveyed in 2019. She has a well maintained reliable 20hp 3 cylinder Yanmar diesel engine which easily pushes her along at 6 knots. A 10 foot tender and outboard can be hung from the rear davits.

We have taken great care of Bindy having recently repainted her inside and out. Her main sail and genoa are good, as is the dodger and bimini. Her standing rigging and lifelines were replaced in 2021. All safety gear is up to date. She has a furling jib and reliable electronics including depth sounder, log, radios, a wheel-mounted autopilot plus a cockpit controlled electric anchor windlass for trouble-free and safe solo sailing.

We have thoroughly enjoyed owning her but a recent move to the Gold Coast and advancing years are making us find Bindy her third set of custodians.
