Beneteau 50 Owners Version 3 Cabin 3 Bathroom

Recently returned from sailing the Pacific islands, Cadence is a very capable and proven large volume cruiser which has been well looked after. With all the hard work done, and AUS registered, she is ready to set sail wherever your heart desires.
Just pack your shorts and t-shirts, and climb aboard.
Cadence is a Bruce Farr designed French build, in her 4th private ownership. She has undergone an extensive refit over the last 4 years, and is in great condition and very well equipped to cruise in comfort and safety.
We purchased her in Fremantle, WA in April 2021, sailed the WA coast, before setting off across the Great Australian Bight. She handled the open water offshore extremely well, even when the weather took a turn for the worst, she proved very sea-kindly in big seas. We have since enjoyed sailing her around the Southern Ocean, and through the tropics up the Australian East Coast, then setting off across the Coral Sea to explore the islands of Vanuatu and New Caledonia, before returning to where she currently lies, in Mooloolaba, Queensland.
She has shoal draft keel, and with a draught of just 1.8m, you can easily slip in and around the islands and sand banks of the tropics. Anchoring is very reliable, with a sturdy 39kg Mantus anchor, 60m of 13mm chain and additional 40m anchor rope to ensure solid holding, and enough peace of mind to sleep well on the pick. Danforth second anchor, chain and bridle is stashed in a huge aft locker ready to deploy astern.
She is easy to sail short handed, with most lines run back to the cockpit, and electric winch to do the heavy lifting. Her new sails in mid-2024, and recent (Nov 2024) hull polish and antifoul have her looking mighty fine, and sailing like a dream. Standing rigging was replaced in September 2020, and the running rigging was done in mid-2021.
Her faithful (Perky) Perkins M90,85hp engine has been regularly serviced and keeps on keeping on, as Perkins diesels are know to do.
Electronics and communications systems have been significantly upgraded so navigation and safety at sea becomes a breeze, even on night passages, with AIS, B&G Halo radar, and 2 B&G plotters. Latest generation Starlink keeps you in touch with the world, and offers mobile working opportunities from anywhere, even while at sea.
1.1kw of solar power generation will ensure you always keep your drinks cool, and the Victron inverter means you can use all the normal appliances like microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and we even get the ice machine going on the way into an anchorage, so that sundowners come with fresh ice every time.
Long range cruising becomes easy with a whopping 1000 litres water capacity, and 500 litres of fuel in the 2 diesel tanks. And plenty of storage space should you wish to carry more. Portable Rain Man Watermaker available for separate sale - if you are quick.
Cadence is a very beamy lass, and being an owner's version, offers spacious accommodation inside with a large saloon/galley, and 3 good sized cabins, each with queen size bed and its own ensuite. Owner's cabin is a double, with separate shower room and head. The cockpit is where you will spend most of your time, in comfort and sheltered from the elements by the dodger/infill/side clears, and underneath the substantial chrome/alloy bimini that has been the envy of many a salty sea dog.
The even better news is the storage - plenty of internal space to stash things, and a large shed (or crew cabin) up front to fit all the sails, spares, and water toys.
The dinghy is also a very solid unit, being a Polycraft Tuffy, never needs inflation, and it is pretty much indestructible and unsinkable. It will survive any beach, rocks, reefs, or general shoreline shenanigans. Mounted on rear davits for easy launch and lift. With a 9.8 hp Tohatsu outboard, she scoots along at a brisk clip of 18 knots with 2 people aboard.
We have had the time of our lives sailing Cadence, but now we feel the time is right to head back to land in search of new adventures. But you can check out our fun times, sandy beaches, wine o'clocks and golden sunsets on You Tube @Rad-Nomads.
If you are a couple or family wanting to step aboard and go cruising right away, check out this list of features, and the install dates, and you will quickly realise that Cadence could be your gal.
Private sale by owners, so give us a call any time and ask us anything -we know her very well. Or arrange to come visit us for a coffee onboard in Mooloolaba.
