Description: Amel 53 Super Maramu - The Ultimate Global Cruising Yacht
Amel yachts are famous for being the ultimate standard production yacht. The Super Maramu is an 'elite' cruising yacht with a solid reputation worldwide. This is not just a yacht, it is a luxurious and sturdy home that you can enjoy sailing in all conditions - easily.

Of distinct appeal and a huge advantage is the ability to sail and cruise this yacht comfortably and easily with as few as two people without leaving the cockpit with electric winches and furling systems for the main and Genoa. The ketch sail-plan means that the area of each sail area is smaller than on a single-masted boat. This enables you to sail safely and comfortably in significantly strong winds (short-handed or solo). Maintenance is minimal thanks to the fake teak grain moulded and painted into the decks.

Below decks everything has been taken care of in meticulous detail to provide functional, practical and living spaces with upgraded water-maker, air conditioning, washing machine and and lots more utilities so you can spend months off grid if that is your wish (while still staying in touch with the world).

'Sueno Azul' was launched in 1991 and was purchased in Southport in 2015. Her owners have completed significant upgrades and spent several seasons cruising between to New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and the Whitsundays. Enjoy the accompanying deck, engine and interior walthough videos which should give you a really great insight to this great boat.

Remarks
Henri Amel set out to build boats to be robust, comfortable and easy to manoeuvre. The Super Maramu (produced between 1988 - 1998) was designed to enable two people to sail around the world in comfort and safety. With a long fin keel and skeg hung rudder, these ocean going passagemakers were built with the exact equipment needed for extended live aboard cruising. Most operations can be safely carried out without leaving the cockpit. The AMEL spirit of "Perfection, Passion and 'Savoir-faire" is behind every stage of construction and AMEL continue to provide service to customers around the world.

AMEL provide an owner's operating manual for all Super Maramu 2000's. Some items on Sueno Azul's inventory may differ, however these are noted in the owner's operating notes. All owner-installed operating manuals are stored on board. An extensive out of water survey was completed in July and August of 2021 and rated the vessel as in 'above average' condition. Hull #39.
