Risky Business is an easily driven cruiser, converted from racing in 2014.
Built in Tasmania in1985, she has an impressive racing history both coastal and offshore in Tasmania and Queensland
Conversion to cruising mode Included separate for'd cabin, generous storage throughout, optimising galley and navigation station and adaptations to facilitate short and singlehanded sailing.
Since start of 2014 she's successfully completed a circumnavigation via Capetown and Panama, six Tasman crossings, Whitsunday cruising and four Pacific island cruises, including 2024 Auckland, Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji. Over 60,000 miles, 14,000 of which were singlehanded.
A major refit in 2023 Included refurbishing the hydraulic keel ram, replacing saildrive bellows, renewing solar panels and all through- hull fittings and addressing some hull pitting.
Although she would love a little TLC, Risky Business is in commission ready for cruising.
She can be viewed at Opua Marina in New Zealand ^November through January.
10 February she can be seen on the hardstand at Riverside Drive Marina Whangarei for a few days. Bottom paint and anodes and an insurance survey. Survey will be available to serious buyers.
Then see her in Hardys Bay near Gosford NSW from end February.
