Description: Thomascraft 40 Flybridge *** WELL MAINTAINED, TWIN SHAFT *** $265,000 ***
Currently with just its second family this Thomascraft 40 FB is definitely one to take a look at. The current owners service her every year despite the small amount of hours they may do locally. A solid range of invoices available to the new owners outlining anything undertaken in recent times. She has just gone back in the water following annual services to engines and genset, anti-foul, polish and new FB front clears along with a few general maintenance items.

Stepping from the jetty onto the EVA coated moulded swim platform complete with stainless steel railing and rod holders you get a feeling for the size of the Thomascraft 40 FB. Roll up the cockpit breezeways and step through the port side transom door into a vast cockpit finished in marine carpet with an extended double rail stainless steel canopy overhead supporting the tender, crane and cradle. A huge ice box to Port that would convert to a fridge with ease and a small sink tucked up under the fly bridge ladder. Plenty of room to entertain, fish, and rig your dive gear. A high internal freeboard with plenty of storage lockers makes for a safe boat and ideal for longer coastal cruising.

A more modern twist on the typical Thomascraft Saloon greets you as you enter central Saloon door off the Cockpit, a dinette and lounge to Port with folding table that could double as a third berth with very little effort. A long lounge to Starboard just aft of the lower second station both with a more modern look than the vintage might normally provide. Clean lines throughout, light coloured timber finishes, headlinings in excellent condition and Venetian blinds making for light and bright finish. A great place to relax in the evneing with a moving on the TV, feet up and a bowl of popcorn on your lap. Located on the Port side your Galley offers ample bench space with solid bench tops, plenty of storage behind timber finished cupboards with a recessed Russell Hobbs twin element stove with combination oven / grill keeping the family well feed. Timber Galley sole and Dometic fridge all in keeping with the vintage of the boat.

Accommodation is forward down the companionway as you would expect, a master island style queen berth in the bow with an overhead hatch and natural light through the portholes for the skipper and a midships bunk wet off to Starboard for the little ones. Overflow berths could be easily found by adapting the dinette and Starboard side lounge giving berths for 5 or 6 easily enough. A spacious head will have everyone looking their best with a separate toilet shower on the Port side.

The vision from the Fly Bridge helm is excellent with an aft helm station leaving seating forward for the family to relax on a day out. A full set of clears and overhead protection with easy access to the Fly Bridge mounted davit and aft mounted tender and cradle again being typical of the vintage. All you need is right at hand with upgraded Lowrance 12 GPS and Sounder, Raymarine Auto Pilot, Boat Leveller trim tabs, Side Power bow thruster and an Icom VHF radio. This is a pleasure to drive although idles high for the local canal speed limits set at just 5 knots. A second station is located in the Saloon should the need arise where you are berthing single handed which is a really handy option !
Powered by a pair of Cummins 6BTA 5.9 turbo diesel shaft driven engines putting out 315 Hp a side sub 1500 hours showing on the gauges and will have the boat comfortably cruising at 18 knots with a sprint speed af around 27 knots according to the current owner. This 40 Thomascraft is very manoeuvrable with twin screws and bow thruster, its a pleasure to drive.

All the annual works have been done and its time to find a new home for this twin shaft driven Thomascraft.
