The Vessel - Custom built 6.7 metre Hooker Pro Fisherman December 2015 build in full AMSA 2C survey Pax 4 with Suzuki DF225 (approx. 1100 hours), all servicing done by Evan Smiles of Smiles Marine with an 8 hp Mercury auxiliary never used on a brand new twin axle galvanised trailer.
Lowrance HDI 7 with 1 KW through hull transducer and Lowrance Elite 7 with transom mount transducer with over 500 waypoints offshore and harbour.
Minn Kota Terrova 36 V 112 lb thrust with spare remote, never used, all servicing done by Ange Stama of Spotlock Marine.
The Charter Permit Licence comprises all four endorsements:
1. Estuarine.
2. Near shore bottom and sportfishing.
3. Deep sea bottom fishing.
4. Game fishing.

Before I had this one built I worked for several seasons with another company running one of their boats and it quickly became apparent that diversity was the key to consistent bookings and consistent results as opposed to being limited to only a few styles of fishing and/or species, with that in mind I built this one with a view to being able to fish everywhere from the shallow water flats in the harbour out to the charter limits offshore and everywhere in between which has proven to be a successful combination, having said that, it also requires a wider skill set than normal to take full advantage of it, so I am happy to stay on for a time to ensure a successful transition if required.
