Roberts 46 ft hand laid over male mould to survey scant lings. Solid glass with GRP ribs and stringers.
Plans modified and submitted by Naval architect Allan Wellan.
Large volume vessel that holds its full 16 ft beam, with full walk around and shade. Good size aft deck.
Port and Starboard doors in wheelhouse. Large wheelhouse space for a vessel of this size.
Vessel is stabilised with fold back trawler arms and fish for stabilising whilst under way, and at rest.
Laden weight 22 ton approx.
Whimbrell will suit both the Reef fishing market and also those who want a proven rough water vessel for private use. This vessel crosses the Capricorn channel in all weathers, and yes that includes 6 metres on the beam with both stabilisers in.
The owner/ skipper built the vessel and launched it in 1986 and has worked the boat ever since on the outer reefs off the Queensland coast. Maintenance records are available for viewing on board.
This boat is strong practical and very able, and is being sold ready to work or to just enjoy the boating Lifestyle a vessel like this can offer.
Designed with wide walk around side decks, and a decent covered aft deck space for fishing or relaxing.
Whimbrell is being sold with a current oil sample analysis, a certificate to operate and a current gas certificate.
