Description: Nordhavn 55
Fully imported with Tax and Duty Paid. Exhibited at Sanctuary Cove 2024.

Presenting a rare opportunity to own a distinguished 2006 Nordhavn 55, an epitome of nautical engineering and luxury. Located on the Gold Coast, this magnificent vessel is designed for the discerning mariner seeking adventure without sacrificing comfort.

With a substantial length of 16.764 meters (55 feet) and a beam of 5.49 meters, this Nordhavn offers a robust and spacious environment suitable for extended voyages. It is powered by a reliable John Deere 6081AFM 330 hp main engine complemented by a Lugger L-984D 70 hp wing engine, ensuring peace of mind in all sea conditions. The vessel boasts an impressive range of 2,761 miles at a cruising speed of 8.5 knots, courtesy of its generous fuel capacity of 8,517 liters.

The solid fiberglass construction provides unmatched durability, while the vessel's displacement of 56.47 metric tons guarantees stable and comfortable cruising. Features like the Side-power bow and stern thrusters, ABT TRAC 250 digital active stabilizers, and a high-capacity Village Marine watermaker enhance both maneuverability and liveaboard convenience.

The yacht's luxurious accommodations include three stately cabins and three elegantly appointed heads with electric freshwater Tecma systems, providing ample privacy and comfort for all aboard. The master suite includes a tub, adding an extra touch of luxury. The sophisticated galley is equipped with top-tier appliances like a GE propane stove, convection microwave, and Sub Zero refrigeration units, ensuring culinary delights are always at hand.

Entertainment options abound with a 40-inch Sony TV, Bose sound system, and comprehensive satellite communications and navigation systems from industry leaders like Furuno, Icom, and Simrad, ensuring connectivity and entertainment regardless of your global coordinates.

The vessel's teak and spruce interiors, granite countertops, and Ultraleather upholstery speak volumes of its exquisite craftsmanship. Safety is paramount with an onboard fire suppression system, life raft, and high-water bilge pump, ensuring peace of mind during your adventures.

The main saloon opens directly to the aft cockpit, which is on the same level. This design effectively expands the living area from the inside to the outside. A large, L-shaped settee and beautifully finished adjustable teak table are adjacent to two comfortable reading chairs. Two custom teak and stainless bar chairs face the pass-through countertop in the galley, which is two steps down from the saloon. Thoughtfully fitted with full-sized home-style appliances, an abundance of storage cabinets, generous counter space and deep double bowl sink, the galley will please the most decerning chef.

On the same level as the galley, you will find the owners stateroom located amidships, providing superior comfort during passages and while at anchor. This luxurious stateroom features a queen sized, walk-around berth, two hanging lockers and a spacious head complete with a shower/bathtub, rivalling the space of most home bedrooms. Forward you will find a spacious guest cabin with double sized berth, huge hanging locker, office desk and retractable chair, and private head with stall shower. Conveniently, the head and shower can be used as a 'day' head when the guest cabin doors are closed.

The Nordhavn 55 shows her serious side in her commercial-like pilothouse. Located amidships for minimal motion at sea, it provides excellent visibility. A full-sized black Ultraleather Stidd chair and destroyer type wheel puts the captain comfortably in command of his ship, with all electronics and controls within sight and reach. The ship's electrical distribution panel is located to starboard of the helm station, beneath the counter. Aft of the helm chair, an L-shaped settee and table, elevated for superior visibility, will seat three to four crew members. Beneath the settee are full-sized chart drawers and additional storage. The pilothouse level also features the Captain's cabin, with double-sized berth and adjacent head and wash basin. Perfect for the off-watch crew on long passages, this area also serves as a private guest stateroom.
Located directly over the pilothouse is the spacious flybridge which provides excellent visibility and is the ideal place to run the vessel from in fair weather. A stainless steel framed full-width Bimini offers protection from the sun and the rain with ample seating thanks to the two helm chairs and large settee with table. The console houses helm, GPS/Radar repeater, bow and stern thruster controls and autopilot, anchor up and down, along with main engine controls, horn, spotlight and VHf radio and compass.

Accessed via a floor hatch in the guest cabin, the forward machinery area houses the vessel's house water plumbing, Village Marine Watermaker. This space provides access to the ABT TRAC electric thruster motor and battery. Also housed in this space is a large selection of spare parts specific to the vessel, along with a list of spares in the Ships Manuals.

Whether it's long trans-ocean voyages or short coastal cruises, the ABT Trac active stabilisation keeps your passages comfortable. Powerful hydraulic bow and stern thrusters plus four control stations mean that she is a dream to operate, allowing for easy manoeuvring in tight anchorages and marinas.

Nordhavn is ramping up its sales and service presence in Australasia with the addition of a new agent based in Sydney. Marley Cutbush will oversee Nordhavn Australasia's new Sydney branch office, providing additional resources to buyers in Australia, New Zealand and Asia as well as to current Nordhavn owners seeking sales and/or service assistance.

Cutbush, a lifelong sailor, has amassed nearly a decade of experience with Nordhavn. He was first indoctrinated into the brand as a delivery captain, ushering a Nordhavn 60 from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to Sydney. During the four-month journey, Cutbush quickly learned to appreciate the design quality and capability of Nordhavns. Additional deliveries followed and eventually, Cutbush was tapped by Nordhavn's US team to assist with sales transactions Down Under. In 2020, he supported the brand aboard the Nordhavn 120 My Aurora at the Miami Yacht Show and most recently on the Nordhavn 41 and 60 at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Besides working with Nordhavn, Cutbush is the managing director of Flagship International yacht brokerage house, which he founded in 2020. He is excited to add the Nordhavn brand to his firm's existing portfolio.

"After a close association with the Nordhavn brand and the PAE team for nearly a decade, I'm thrilled to be officially onboard, " Cutbush said. "I'm looking forward to able to share with current and future owners not only my passion for the yachts Nordhavn produces, but my experience and love for the incredible lifestyle Nordhavn ownership brings.
