MILLKRAFT CLASSIC TIMBER CRUISER  Just Listed

If the ultimate classic Moreton Bay Cruiser is what you're after, then the gorgeous "Thora" built by Millkraft and powered by a 4LW Gardner ticks a lot of boxes. She's cruised the Queensland coast over her lifetime and has always been admired for her sleek lines, stability and the way she effortlessly cuts through the water.
Thora has a sharpie hull form featuring a single chine and is longitudinally planked above the chine and transversely planked below the chine. Planking is Oregon laid on 100mm x 50mm sawn and gusseted Spotted Gum frames set at 650mm centres. The decks are fibreglass sheathed ply wood set on hardwood deck beams at 400mm centres. The cabin sides are splined Silky Oak finished externally in enamel. Thoras construction is robust and has stood the test of time.
Once stepping aboard Thora, the open plan layout is best described as spacious with nearly 7foot of headroom in the saloon and large windows allowing plenty of natural light. This area is finished in Silky Oak which compliments nicely to the forward cabin area finished in Qld Mahogany. The centre engine box has a large table top perfect for entertaining and meals with drop down sides to allow ease of access through the vessel.
The fully covered rear deck area has large port and starboard seating that also can be used as day beds for that afternoon snooze on the water.

Thora has recently undergone refurbishment including but not limited to, new upholstery throughout, new carpet, antifoul, full topside and cabin paint and new non skid to the decks. She is a simple and reliable vessel, perfect for those looking for a versatile timber cruiser that caters for the solo boater right through to those that like the company of a large group of friends or family.
