Description: Mariner 3400 Flybridge
A great Mariner 3400!! Refurbished and re-powered.

KORA was hauled out the 20-24 May 2024. High water pressure blasted and Two Coats of Jotun Sea Guardian Antifouling and Propspeed was applied. Rudder post bearings was replaced.

During 2022, this great boat has been completely rebuilt from the hull up by professional marine mechanics, shipwrights, and electricians, with no expense spared. This boat offers true turnkey maintenance free boating for a very, very long time with nothing left to spend. Please see below for a full description of what has been done to this magnificent boat.

By way of background the Mariner 3400 flybridge cruiser has become an Aussie icon. The 3400 replaced the 34 Mariner in 1985 and was immediately hailed as being totally superior in terms of performance, handling, layout, style, construction, and finish, in part due to her new hull design taken from the Savage 34, which was well respected and renowned for class leading offshore sea worthiness.

Built by the world-renowned boat builder Bill Barry-Cotter, the 3400's are built like a battleship, and being so advanced for their time the general arrangement has not changed much at all until the late 2000's.

If you are considering a mariner, Riviera, Savage, Bertram or similar in terms of a flybridge cruiser, treat yourself to an inspection of this excellent two cabin, twin helm Australian built vessel with an enviable pedigree - you will be impressed!

Recently fitted 2022 with two Refurbished Styer MO236K42 225hp turbo diesels, this Mariner 3400 takes performance, economy, and reliability to the next level. These engines came direct from the Styer factory in QLD and have only 56hrs on them. These incredibly economical and strong engines give a cruise speed of 16-18 knots and top speed 24-26 Knots.

The boat was pulled out of the water 2022 and spent considerable time in a marine workshop on the Gold Coast. The hull was sand blasted back to bare gelcoat. It had some very minor osmosis repairs completed and had an oversized Lewmar bow thruster fitted. Most recipts for work completed I have on hand.

The hull was treated to a completely new barrier coat and well as several coats of anti-foul (Sea Guardian Blue) and prop speed with new anodes. At the same time as the boat was fitted with the new engines, it had new through hull water intakes, two new fuel tanks (300 Litres each), and a new freshwater bladder (150Litres).

Before going back in the water, the boat was also fitted with a new Epower 2600 KW inverter, new Epower battery charger. 440-amp hours house batteries and 220-amp hour start batteries with isolator switch.

The boat has had all new wiring, both 12 and 240 volt. New bilge pumps, new Bimini top, new canopy, new clears, new window covers, and new carpet.
The flybridge and the lower helm were then fitted with full new Simrad NSS Evo3 chart plotters and autopilot, AIS, new electronic throttle controls for both the upper and lower helm, all new gauges and new navigation and running lights.

The boat was also fitted with a new hot water system, new holding tank and new macerator, as well as a valve to allow the holding tank to pump out at sea in need.
During 2023 has received;

New helm seats on the flybridge.

I sold my sailing yacht owing to wifes health. As I wanted another boat I thought a power boat would be the right choice but it does not help the health situation. So sadly it means our boat must now be sold. There has been over $140,000 spent on this boat since 2022, and there is literally nothing else to do but turn the keys untie the ropes and enjoy this beautiful vessel.
All receipts and a 2023 survey can be viewed at time of inspection.
