Description: Kevlacat 2800 - The ultimate fishing machine!
Listing for sale my pride and joy. This is an exceptional vessel that I have owned since brand new in 1993. The boat is in perfect condition and fastidiously maintained. Boat was stored in a shed for 10 years with the original set of engines while we lived overseas for 10 years, from1996 to 2006, which makes this boat in terms of use equivalent to a 2003 boat, hence my selection of launch year as 2003. The current engines were installed in October 2013 and have currently done 450 hours approx in the past 10 years. Engines have been serviced yearly, regardless of hours of use and are in exceptional as new conditions. Boat has been always maintained to perfection and has undergone many upgrades and improvements over the years. Always kept on trailer and well protected from the sun. Boat is currently on a hard standing birth at the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia. Birth also available, if boat stays in SA. Gelcoat in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed regularly, twice a year. Full records and Invoices are available for all the work conducted and done on the boat. Boat has been mainly used a few times a year for long range day trips to KI with a crew of 2 or 3 max and rarely 4 people. These are 140NM day trips or overnight mostly done in flat calm seas or in excellent sea conditions. Welcome any inspection or survey, as boat has already passed many with very high marks for insurance purposes and general surveyors feedback is that boat presents as new! Would love to see her stay in South Australia and happy to crew and share my knowledge with the new owner whenever possible.

My boats, the 2800 here for sale and I also have 3100 in Italy, were built by the original builder who started Kevlacat, Fred Temminck. The boats built by him were in my opinion the best Kevlacat ever built and what gave Kevlacat its reputation. We flew many times to the Sunshine Coast while the boats were being built to check all stages of the build quality. Also, these boats used actual Kevlar in the lamination process, something that they stopped doing to save on cost in later ownerships. These boats are stronger and slightly lighter. Kevlacat has gone through many cycles of ownership and build quality over the years, which has ended up with better or worse built boats based on who built them. If you are concerned about the age of the boat, my recommendation is that rather than been concerned, you need to get the boat properly inspected by a reputable and knowledgeable boat builder/inspector and get a report done on the boat. I would welcome any checks on my boat, she is in perfect condition.

There is a detailed list of the boat with all its specs and sold as is, as I am not upgrading or downsizing. You can download the list and also watch a full video tour from the links above in this listing. The prices there are for insurance purpose and either minimum replacement value or what I have paid for it. If I get a reasonable respectable offer I will consider it, otherwise I will keep the boat, as I love it and enjoy too much. It just hurts to know that she is not been used as much as she should and provide huge satisfaction and fun to someone else for many years, as she has done for me.

Inspections are welcome and sea trial can be organized for serious buyers. First person that will come and see the boat, will buy it!
