Polyana is looking for a timber boat enthusiast to bring her back to her former glory!
Built in 1938 by W Holmes, this beautiful vessel is the first Queensland registered vessel (MV1Q), registration is still current.
This carvel planked fly bridge cruiser has had a major rebuild on the hull and top side. Including the hull being glassed over and the whole boat has been faired and primed for paint; a new fibreglass water tank was custom made. Both of the Perkins motors and gear boxes have been rebuilt and are ready to install. The head has been glassed in and flow coated.
The investment on the rebuild to date is $250,000 (receipts and progress photos available from the ship wrights).
A large amount of the wiring has been replaced, a new oven is in the galley ready to be installed and there is a full stainless steel eutectic fridge/freezer.
Works needing to be completed:
- Internal fit out to galley and mid ships cabin.
- Upper helm and some of the aft cockpit.
- Full paint and anti-foul.
- Installation of the motors.
Polyana is a classic designed vessel looking for an owner to finish the fitout and refloat her.
