Description: Halvorsen 44
One of the most famous and finely crafted Halvorsen's you'll find anywhere, just sold by Flagstaff Marine.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, not only to buy a simply stunning Halvorsen cruiser but also to acquire a special hand-built boat that embodies immense history.

This stunning Halvorsen 44 Game Fisher Nooroo II was launched on June 20,1966, to a Harvey Halvorsen design for Merv McRae who later sold her to John Toohey and his family, and became famous taking charters on Sydney Harbour. Sir Frank Packer would use her as a support/tow boat when campaining Gretel II for the Americas Cup training off Sydney heads.

Nooroo II had a major refit in 2017 with key upgrades including; two near new D6 Volvos at 300hp each which currently have only 728 hours, Simrad electronics (touch screen) package, new Onan Genset, Muir electric anchor winch, decks and varnish all upgraded and treated, electric toilet, new upholstery, invertors, batteries, new chargers, covers, new stainless steel Ultra anchor.

Her current owner has kept her up to speed professionally maintaining her. She has just come off the slips having been antifouled, topsides painted and is a turnkey, drive-away proposition.

Nooroo II has a stunning entertaining flybridge with second helm station, Volvo digital engine display, electronic controls, and ultra soft cream vinyl seating.

The galley has stainless steel bench tops, dual electric cook top, and several power points to accommodate, toasters, microwaves, kettles, coffee machines etc.

The boat comfortably sleeps 6 guests. With the accommodation comprising of a forward master cabin, a mid-cabin on the port side and there is a fold out in the saloon.

The near new side decks are laid with natural wide plank teak and in as new condition. The foredeck is also teak laid and offers a simply stunning area to relax and unwind with a cold drink.

There is not a lot more that we can say about Nooroo II other than this is one very special boat that oozes character and charm, while adding all the mod cons needed for a special time on the water. She even has a pop-up saloon TV & fusion stereo to provide the perfect ambience for any social engagement.

The VIP guests' list read like a who's-who and the beautiful boat also starred in the TV series Riptide. She has entertained many of the social elite, including King Charles, not to mention fished her way up and down the coast of Australia with great success.

Built originally as a serious offshore game boat, the 44ft Halvorsen's cockpit is huge and, as a result, offers the perfect area for family and friends to wine and dine in classy timber-boat luxury.
