Anchorline is proud to exclusively present the 2008 Fairway 36´ Flybridge 'Silk Degrees' to the market.
The Australian designed and built Fairway cruiser has proven to be economical, low maintenance, safe, and very sea worthy. Over the years, our brokerage has sold many Fairway 36's that have traveled as far north as Darwin, down to Tasmania, and across to Adelaide. This 2008 model has only had 2 owners since being launched; she has been maintained in excellent condition, and recent upgrades have been undertaken to ensure she will be cruising for many years to come.
More specifically, this Fairway 36 is a two cabin layout. There is a island double berth in the forward cabin and a single berth on the port side. The spacious bathroom is located on the starboard side of the forward companionway. There are clothes lockers and storage in both cabins.
As with all Fairway's models, the galley runs the full length of the starboard side of the saloon. There is a front loading Isotherm fridge/freezer, a 4 burner gas Spinflo cooktop and grill and a microwave. There is also a large top loading freezer in the cockpit. Opposite the galley is a large 'L' shaped settee with a teak dining table, which can be converted to provide an additional berth if required. Venetian blinds are fitted to the saloon windows and there is LED lighting throughout.
Both the lower helm and flybridge stations are equipped with a electronics controls, a Raymarine depth sounder and GPS / chart plotter, GME VHF radio and a Sony AM/FC CD stereo. The Vetus bow thruster and the windlass can be operated via their respective remotes at both stations. The windlass can also be operated from the foredeck. Powered by a single Cummins shaft drive, 'Silk Degrees' comfortably cruises at 10-15 knots and has a maximum speed of 20 knots (approx. ). The two fuel and two water tanks are located on either side of the main engine and the Onan generator is housed aft of the main engine. Access to the engine compartment is via two large hatches in the saloon floor.
From the saloon, you walk straight out onto the uncluttered (carpeted) cockpit. The awning and clears (around the sides) make this space usable in all types of weather. Access to the swim platform is through a transom door, and a stainless steel ladder takes you up to the flybridge. Neatly housed under the ladder is the 12V top loading freezer/fridge. A large hatch in the floor gives access to the lazarette (great for storing crab pots), and there are lockers around the cockpit for stowing lines, fenders, etc. There is also a BBQ mounted to the transom on the starboard side.
With clears and canvas around all four sides on the flybridge and a bimini, you enjoy cruising from up here or just relaxing whilst at anchor. The two long settees are great for lounging and there is plenty of space on the flybridge deck for lying in the sun, sitting on a beam bag, or storing equipment. The Swift inflatable RIB and outboard is kept on the transom mounted davits.
Having just been antifouled and all maintenance up to date, you can step aboard and be out on the water in time for the winter cruising season. A private inspection of 'Silk Degrees' is highly recommended, will not disappoint, and is available by prior appointment at the Gold Coast. Please contact our office for further details.
