With a range of 7500 nm approx this 23.6 m Expedition vessel is capable of going anywhere in the world. The current custodians of the last 20 years regretfully have to "Swallow the Anchor" as the saying goes. 'Restless M' was built in Tampa Florida and launched in 1974. Initially built as a mother-ship to a commercial fishing fleet in the Bering Sea, she was converted to deep sea salvage and was a very successful treasure hunter, and features in the book 'Treasures of the Deep'. The vessel was purchased by the current owners around 2003 and undertook a complete refurbishment. I mean complete, the entire superstructure was removed and replaced with a Naval Architect designed alloy superstructure and the majority of the deck beams were replaced and an entirely new deck was laid, epoxy sheathed and the entire structure was epoxy coated using Jotun products. The original main engine was replaced with a 440 hp Kelvin, a 130 hp Perkins was fitted as the main drive engine for the extensive hydraulic systems, which include anchor winches, 75 hp bow thruster, main mast crane and dinghy davit aft on the wheelhouse deck. Three new auxiliaries of various KVA ratings were installed, which completes the heart of the ship.
"Restless M" can circle the globe with three fuel stops! The vessel has an extensive array of navigation systems with up to date backup systems. As well as the 30 ton fuel capacity she also holds 20 tons of water and her water desalination systems, which were new in 2022 can produce 660 LPH in total. This comprises two completely independent systems which is the ethos behind all the systems on this vessel.
The asking price of $2.6 M AUD ($1.72 M USD approx). Is a fraction of the replacement price of this well maintained vessel. (A new Nordhavn 78 $10M)
The vendors have an 'out of water' surveyor's written report, as well as a detailed specification report, available to interested parties.
Vendors will look at trades, boats, property etc to a lessor value. Short term vendor finance available to approved purchaser.
