Looking for a head-turning timber cruiser without the ongoing maintenance?
7.4 metre, 24.5 ft Custom Timber Cruiser Built in 2004, this is a unique fibreglass over ply built vessel. Fully restored inside and out. 12 months registration. 'Bluebird' is one of a kind and has a draft of only 0.4 meters. This allows the boat to travel through the skinniest of waters. Unlike all other timber cruisers, the vessel can also be beached. Because of the twin keel and flat bottom design, the boat stands upright and stable at low tide. Great to get into those hard to access, sheltered areas. Perfect for the tidal waters of Moreton Bay or any esuary sytem.
The hull, roof and exterior cabin are painted in 3 coats of Norglass Ultra Gloss Marine enamel. Freshly painted nonslip on the decks. Interior has also been freshly painted with antimould interior paint. All timber work has been resanded and varnished. New navigation lights and all round light fitted. A specially built slip trailer has been created to house the boat. The boat can be easily be brought in and out of the water using the trailer and electric winch. The trailer has just had wheels, tyres and bearings replaced. If you are going to keep the boat in the water the bottom can easily be antifouled and the motor tilts up and out of the water. Bluebird is powered by a 2007 20hp Honda 4 stroke powerthrust outboard. Fitted with a four blade propellor. Cruising at 6.5 knots to a top speed of 8 knots. The outboard is very fuel efficient and pushes the boat along easily. The engine has just been fully serviced and the carburettor has been stripped and cleaned. The engine is housed in a custom-built alcove which has protected it from the elements and kept it in near new condition. Steering has just been greased and serviced.
Included in the sale is the 'Namco' 1966 Cartopper. A great tender that has also just finished being restored and really suits the boat. (the outboard for the tender featured in the photos is not included in the sale).
