Custom Expedition Long Range Pilothouse

Built in Canada in 1985 and originally used as a crew boat and dive tender, the vessel had a major refit in 2005, refurbishment in 2015 and a mini refit in 2020.

The vessel has many extras and runs a 40 KVA Caterpillar and 16 KVA Caterpillar generators, air conditioning throughout, modern electronics, hydraulic Trac stabilisers and a bulbous bow.

The professional 2005 'Explorer Style' conversion started as a "bare hull", with the addition steel superstructure and an aluminium flybridge. The interior, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems were completed and the dual 480HP Volvo Penta TAMD122D shaft drive diesel main engines and Caterpillar generators installed. The vessel is structurally sound with associated machinery in good condition.

Presenting a strong explorer style exterior and quality yacht finish internally with varnished Canadian Maple timber throughout along with leather and fabric upholstery gives her a feel of comfort and safety. The vessel has four full cabins, three with ensuites and heads plus two smaller cabins with berths and practical mechanical and electrical systems.

A recent inspection showed some of the hull plating was a little worn so extra plating was attached from the underside to give her now a very sound hull allround.

A hull respray was completed in 2020 and the white sides painted in 2023. She was hauled out in May 2024 and had the running gear removed with the propellers and shafts balanced and then Prop Speed was applied. Further she was antifouled and scheduled maintenance completed ready for her to continue blue water exploration and cruising in comfort and safety.

Powered with her dual 480HP Volvo Penta TAMD122D shaft drive diesels sees her cruise at 8.5 knots using only 42 litres per hour and that includes the 2 generators and at that speed gives her an approximate 2,400 nautical mile range.
