The Bayview 23 traditional shape fibreglass launch was designed and built by Kay Cottee - the first women to circumnavigate the planet singlehanded (so she knows a lot about boats!). Built with a fibreglass hull and a foam sandwich deck for low maintenance and greater strength, but with striking lines that make her the perfect blend of traditional style combined with modern construction methods. The boat is driven by a super reliable shaft drive Yanmar 20hp diesel engine and 60lt fuel tank. This boat just sips fuel and will run at a couple of litres and hour at hull speed, making her the most economical vessel available.
This superbly built launch was constructed in Yamba in 2004 by professional boatbuilders with the design originating from a mould taken off a timber fishing launch from the Clarence River. This Bayview 23 is designed for day and overnight use, with 2mt long V berths that can accommodate two tall adults in comfort. With a 60lt fresh water tank and a sink, space for a camp stove, there is ample accommodation for overnight excursions.
Additional inventory includes a collapsable Bimini sunshade, a full deck cover bilge pumps, compass, anchor, lifejackets and safety equipment.
This vessel would suit buyers thinking of using her in Pittwater, Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River, Botany Bay or Port Hacking, or any of the rivers and inlets of the east coast. Owned and maintained by a qualified boatbuilder the vessel is in pristine condition. If you are after a low maintenance, easy to run, dayboat for all the family, or overnight adventures with the kids this is the boat for you.
