The owner of this stunning air-conditioned 285 has been fastidious in maintaining the engine and quick to invest in improvements wherever possible. 285's are renowned for their wide 3mtr beam and full head height throughout the cabin. A generously sized v-berth up the front can be closed off with privacy curtains whilst the aft queen-bed cabin is shut away behind a full-sized door. The dinette also converts to small bed suitable for children. Storage is cleverly designed into every nook and cranny whilst the kitchenette has everything you need for overnighters including microwave, fridge and stove. Like the cabin the electric toilet and shower benefit from full standing room and you never feel like ducking unlike many similar 8mtr models.  

An economical 350 Mag Mercruiser has been serviced annually with no expense spared including updated manifolds and vertical risers. Any mechanical inspection is welcomed. The leg is a Bravo 3 sterndrive with stainless steel duo prop. Last anti-fouled and serviced in December 2024. She flies along at 30kts and cruises comfortably at a sweet spot of around 20kts.  

New Sunbrella bimini and clears were manufactured and fitted in December 22 with a matching vinyl wrap professionally installed on the hull. New Garmin GPSMAP purchased in June 2019 with Wi-Fi connectivity to a Fusion sound system and NMEA 2000 connection with the engine interface.  

A custom transom extension makes this 285 stand out from the rest, along with the extended awing shade has you covered.
A stylish stainless stern rail hosts a Cookout Marine BBQ and 3.3 horsepower Mercury outboard which is more than adequate for its accompanying 2.4mtr Southern Pacific inflatable tender even when taking a family of 4 onboard to the beach.  

Both battery banks (house and stater) were updated in 2022 along with an updated modern tech marine battery smart charger.  Victron, invertor, battery monitor, solar regulator installed, 2nd house batt installed, KT 330w portable solar blanket. Anchor chain replaced with new rocna anchor. Water pump replaced 2023; hot water system replaced 2024.


All the standard features you would expect are included in this model such as hot water, icy cold beers in the fridge / freezer, holding tank and macerator toilet system, hot / cold transom shower, digital TV, shore power and dual 240 / 12 volt service, sound system with dual zone internal / external speakers, trim tabs, electric windlass and VHF radio.
