'Platypus' has been turning heads on Sydney Harbour with her 'Rooster Tail' attracting attention since she was imported from her original flag point of St Tropez by her first owner.

Powered by twin D12 Volvo (700hp) Turbo Diesel engines, Platypus has a top speed of 40 knots and a comfortable cruise of 30 knots with her Arneson surface drives delivering ultimate speed and efficiency by reducing underwater drag by up to 50%. Adding to the boat's performance is the vessel's unique hull constructed of Pre-Pregnated Kevlar, providing a light but durable hull, weighing in at only 19 Tonnes and therefore very light on fuel consumption.

The Arneson drive system is often misunderstood and underrated. They are very low on maintenance, requiring only a 'boot check' on every annual service. No more legs, shaft drives or IPS failures; the Arneson's are 'direct coupled' to the Volvo's and were to be the proxy for modern day high performance boats in the Pershing and Mangusta yachts, as well as most border patrol boats.

Able to be 'trimmed up' above the lowest point of the hull, shallow water boating is no issue.

Make no mistake, Platypus is a "looker", with a massive bow entertaining area and sunbed, electric retractable sunroof, an almost 5M beam, all the latest electronics including Fusion Sound, Starlink Internet, Garmin Dual Screens, LED strip lighting and Inverter circuits with Smart TV's. Brand new AGM batteries (Oct 2024) with 800W Inverter means days on anchor without needing to run the Onan Generator.
