Alexander Marine is pleased to present this 2024 Aquila 42 Yacht Power Catamaran to the market as worldwide central agents.
Make no mistake this vessel is effectively brand new. Her owners have spent the last few months here at Coomera selecting and then carefully adding cruising equipment onboard, from stem to stern, piece by piece, to maximise the utility of the vessel and make her genuinely cruise-ready. The sellers have now ultimately decided that their time has come to retire from boating. This is an amazing opportunity for an astute buyer who will come to appreciate all the hard work is done, and the timing of the vessel being offered for sale makes her ready for summer boating - now complete with all the goodies you would likely want in a vessel of this calibre having already been installed. Notable specification items onboard include a generator, water maker, solar installation, bow thruster, wireless docking remote, tender and custom interior and exterior trimming.
The Aquila 42 offers a spacious and well-thought-out layout, perfect for both entertaining and extended cruising. Starting at the transom, the innovative tender storage platform transforms the aft of the vessel into a launch pad for adventure, complete with a well-thought-out super sturdy retractable swim ladder installed in the port hull offering effortless access to the water. The swim platform is a perfect space to set up a few beach chairs, creating a perfect spot to relax by the water. From the swim platform access to the beamy cockpit is possible from both port and starboard sides. Stainless steel framed gates will keep small children and pets from venturing out of the cockpit and back aft where they are not meant too. The cockpit features an aft bench seat set around an expandable table with built-in cupholders, ideal for alfresco dining. To port, there's a convenient servery and or bar with a hopper window that seamlessly connects the outdoor and indoor living spaces.
Just inside the saloon to port is the aft galley, making it centrally positioned for meal service to the cockpit or the interior dining area. The galley is equipped with an upright stacked fridge & separate freezer, two element induction cooktop, and a microwave combi oven & grill. There is plenty of countertop space for food preparation and stowage for provisions and kitchenware.
The saloon is bright and welcoming, with plenty of natural light flooding the space, and this generous natural light continues down into both hulls courtesy of large hull-side windows. Still in the saloon there is a U-shaped settee to starboard surrounding a height-adjustable table, which can be converted into a bed, offering additional sleeping accommodations. Over on the portside there's also a drop-down TV for entertainment for those perched up on the u-shaped settee. There is a lower deck control station, located forward and to port, which is equipped with a VHF radio, stereo controls, and some digitial switching for managing the boat's systems.
A set of stairs down into the port hull delivers you to the master cabin, featuring a comfortable queen bed positioned aft, ample storage, a vanity space, and a private spacious ensuite with a separate shower stall towards the bow. On the starboard side of the vessel, a mirrored set of stairs leads down into the starboard hull which is the guest cabin. The guest cabin also features a queen bed this time positioned towards the bow, a hanging locker, and a private ensuite with a separate shower stall positioned aft that will be well suited to use as the day head. Additionally, this particular Aquila 42 was optioned and built with two single berths in the on-deck cabin/utility room which is at the front of the saloon, allowing for a total of six berthed guests onboard (before you convert the settee to sleep another two more).
The flybridge is a standout feature of the Aquila 42, with a large L-shaped bench settee that extends all the way to the forward section, surrounding a table with a removable centre piece with built-in cupholders. The flybridge helm station includes a bench seat for two with flip-up bolsters that provide standing support versatility when required underway and all the necessary helm navigation instruments. The wet bar behind the helm bench seat includes a sink and benchtop. The flybridge is well-protected by custom designed and manufactured clears, and offers unique access to the bow via centerline stairs in front of the helm station, allowing seamless movement from the flybridge to the bow without needing to pass through the cockpit!
The cockpit ceiling design includes a patented tender crane system integrated within the roof structure, utilising an aluminium beam that when extended deploys the vessel AB RIB via the assistance of a few winches. This ingenious system, including an electric winch for raising and lowering the tender itself, keeps the cockpit uncluttered and free from the usual davits or crane intrusions and even allows for a hammock to be attached and lowered to enjoy the water!
At the bow, you'll find two sunbeds with fold-up backrests, along with port and starboard forward bow seats, providing additional relaxation spaces. Additionally, in the starboard hull, a generously sized hatch on the foredeck leads to an enormous storage space equipped with an additional top-loading fridge/freezer, making it perfect for extended stays onboard. Her anchoring equipment includes a 20kg/44lb Delta anchor and a Quick horizontal windlass.
In terms of customised trimming the current owners have had fitted sheets made as required to exactly fit the beds onboard. They also commissioned and installed a shade awning extension providing further weather protection when sitting in the cockpit, and aft mesh shade curtains in both the cockpit and flybridge. The flybridge clears have been executed to an extremely high standard and makes this spacious elevated area available for all-weather enjoyment.
She is powered by twin straight shaft Volvo Penta D4's at 300hp each. Her engine rooms are spacious, well laid out, and clean as whistle being a new boat! For ease of docking she is equipped with a bow thruster, and for the ultimate convenience, a Dockmate wireless docking remote permits single landed operation of the vessel and line handling by the captain when required.
