"Brenda Starr" is a very clean, tidy and well looked after AG Williams classic timber cruiser.
She was built in Drummoyne, Sydney by this well regarded and prolific boat builder.
This one being one of the best examples in Sydney Harbour currently.
The boat is noted to have been made of Huon Pine as a special request of the commissioning owner.
Never a working boat, she has always been a pleasure cruiser so doesn't suffer the damage and repair issues that some boats such as Halvorsen Hire Fleet have.
She is powered in a twin screw (two engines, two shafts) Perkins Diesels arrangement.
This makes her much more manouverable than many single engine vessels of her size and class.
As per photos, these engines are in great shape and well maintained. Running very smoothly and blowing no smoke.
Furthermore, the boat has no rot and has been slipped in 2024 with a full maintenance and upgrades folder going back 10 years.
"Brenda Starr" is well set up for more than overnighting.
She is certainly a long weekend aboard capable boat.
The electric fridge running off inverter, enclosed shower as well as aft deck shower and galley make this vessel comfortable for multi-night stays.
The open-nature of the saloon and aft deck seating is well suited to family gatherings and lunch groups where togetherness is a rare advantage.
Few boats can seat 8 - 10 people comfortably in the one space.
She is located on a swing mooring in Sydney's picturesque Middle Harbour, not far from the suburbs of Cammeray and Mosman.
The mooring can be included by negotiation, however needs to be licensed by RMS which is a straightforward process with much availability around Sydney currently.
