Gull is a beautifully proportioned Day-cruiser, with a large open cockpit, full all-weather awning, and cosy accommodation for two.
The hull is traditional planked Oregon timber, with good hull protection and integrity offered with the extended berthing strakes.
The deck and cockpit are fiberglass ply, the foredeck and aft deck are beautifully laid with oiled Beech timber. The interior joinery is very original with 2 x full berths with custom mattresses. There is a small private toilet area fwd. The galley is basic with a stainless sink and small bench. The interior and the cockpit are lined with professionally laid marine style carpet. The mattress covers and cushion covers are all renewed in quality fabrics.
The current owners have repaired 6 ribs, replaced planking and have painted topsides.
The Volvo 40 HP diesel motor was fitted in 2007. She is well serviced and performs very well, offering steady 6.5 kts and up to 7.5 kts.
Gull is recorded on the Historic Ships Register at the ANMM.
She has undertaken several offshore trips between Pittwater and Cronulla. Always reliable and seaworthy. A very pretty boat, she attracts attention wherever she is seen.
