A great opportunity for a commercial operator or for a private buyer with a view to converting this well trusted Brady Cat into a cruising catamaran.
"Mahi Mahi" was designed by renowned Peter Brady, and built by Brady Catamarans, Gold Coast. Its design emphasizes fuel efficiency, safety, and passenger comfort. Originally 12.45m, she was extended to 14.95m to take more passengers and is a successful Whale Watching, sightseeing, and charter vessel operating on the Gold Coast.
The vessel has a Current Certificate of Operation, Class 1C - Carrying up to 72 persons, no more than 25 on the flybridge deck in restricted offshore waters. She is under the grandfather clause, Exempt of survey - Exemption 02, in Queensland. If considering putting her into survey interstate, comprehensive drawings are available showing she complies with the USL, as well as Commercial/Fishing Ship Certificate of Compliance for Design.
She features a large aft deck with large gunwale cutouts with gates for easy passenger boarding. There is seating in this area for approx. 48 passengers and clears on both sides protect the area from spray or rain. This large aft transom could be well used for divers, or charter fishing. There is access via a walk around gunwale to a spacious foredeck with railings. There is a toilet accessed from the aft deck, as well as storage under the stairs to the flybridge. There is easy access on this deck to the two main engines.
The main saloon is equipped with a full sized galley and an enclosed lounging area with table seating for eight. There is a toilet in the fwd port hull and a storage area / crew berth in the fwd stbd hull.
From the aft deck there is a central staircase that takes you up to the flybridge that seats up to 25 passengers and again in enclosed with clears. The flybridge incorporates a well equipped helm area and seats two crew. She has a PA system with many speakers throughout both upper and lower passenger decks.
The vessel has been regularly maintained with last haul out including anti-foul and removal and inspection of shafts etc done 2 years ago. "Mahi Mahi" is no longer required in the fleet, and is priced to sell accordingly.
Original Port Engine is available as a Spare Engine - rebuilt circa 2023, currently at 0 hrs
It suffered valve damage which is why the port engine was changed in approx. 2017. At the time they stripped the engine down and stored, 2023 they decided to rebuild and have it as a complete spare.
Also avail: Spare Gearbox: They purchased a new gearbox when they changed the engine and kept the original as a spare. Circa about 3000hrs on it.
Both priced separatly (not included in this vessels price).
