The Contender 32 Step Tournament is a fishing weapon. Originally built for kite fishing in Miami, the Contender 32ST offers space, performance, and innovation. It is built on Contender's self-draining twin Stepped Hull which decreases planning time, flattens the bow lift of a conventional hull, and aids top end speed across the water. It also improves turning stability. Contender have been working with stepped hulls for years and offer them on a variety of models.
The centre console design on the Contender 32ST delivers the space ahead of and behind the console that fisherman often want, but rarely get to realise. The room, particularly at the bow must be seen to be believed. A side-coaming that runs the entire inner circumference of the boat right up to the bow creates an incredibly fishable space suitable for casting lures at reefs or schools of tuna offshore. You could even gear up and chase Marlin off the Ribbon Reefs in North Queensland.
Storage is provided via multiple underfloor lined compartments located at the bow and behind the console. The console is wide and will accommodate larger screens preferred by game captains with a twin screen layout also possible. There is a large seat/sunlounge with storage underneath ahead of the console and bench seating at the transom.
Seating on the Contender 32ST is by way of an elaborate leaning post with tackle centre located at the rear. This gives immediate access to important fishing equipment while the bite is hot. The transom includes twin live wells while overhead is the standard T-top providing protection and an excellent location for outriggers and radar arch.
You can option up with Contender's Custom Fishing Tower, built to sight fish, or spot birds miles away. The complete second station up top keeps you in control of position and other important information. The captain's view from the tower is critical in directing championship crews and always staying in control of the fish.
The Contender 32ST is an open water speed machine and can be powered by up to twin 400hp engines. It is designed to handle the roughest of seas where nothing can hold you back. The Contender 32 Step Tournament has a 1,173-litre fuel capacity, so your boundaries will not be limited by range. Get there fast, get there dry, get in the game.
The Contender 32 Step Tournament is just shy of 10 metres long and has a beam of 2.95 metres.
