NEW RASTAR 2800-CL TERMINAL / ESCORT TUG  

RAstar 2800-CL Terminal/Escort Tug, currently under construction and scheduled for delivery Q1 2024.

Designed for operations in exposed areas such as many new LNG terminals where a high standard of sea-keeping is required. With Fi-Fi 1, and escort notations, these particular vessels are able to fulfil a wide variety of duties in adverse conditions due to the very well-proven double chine form that characterizes all Robert Allan Ltd designs, with a sweeping "chined" stern. A large escort skeg is fitted forward which in conjunction with the sponsoned hull form provide superior escort performance and improved sea keeping.

Having the approximate dimensions of 28.40m x 13.00m x 5.70m Draft (Navigational) generally in accordance with the RAstar 2800 Design provided by Robert Allan Ltd of Canada.

Built to Lloyds classification with notation +100A1 Escort Tug, Fire Fighting Ship 1 (2400m³/h) with Water Spray *IWS, +LMC, UMS, for unrestricted service.

The propulsion machinery to comprise two Caterpillar 3516C marine diesel engines each rated 3151 bhp at 1800 rpm, coupled to Schottel azimuth rudder propellers to provide a bollard pull of 80 tonnes ahead with the main engines developing 100% power.

Main electricity supply of 415VAC/3-Ph/50 Hz to be provided by two electric started Caterpillar C7.1 diesel engine driven generator sets of 118 ekW output each running in parallel.

Sleeping and messing accommodation to be provided for a crew of 10 in single and 2-berth cabins on two decks. Air conditioning to be provided throughout.
