WALKTHROUGH
Single handed operation is possible with this yachts hydraulic and upgraded proportional bow
and stern thrusters, and the 2,400 gallon fuel capacity allows a range of over 2,800 nautical
miles with reserve fuel at 9 knots. The accommodation plan features a mid-ship full beam king
berth master with his and hers heads, a queen berth VIP forward, a double berth cabin with
upper Pullman berth to port, and a 4th aft guest/crew area with a unique new layout, with each
cabin having an ensuite head and shower.
Twin 20 kw Northern Lights generators, 7.5 Trac stabilizers, chilled water air conditioning,
water maker, two sets of washers and dryers, an inverter system with extensive additional
house bank batteries, are just some of many upgraded systems. This 70' Outer Reef also will
be the quietest ever built, with substantial additional costs to add insulation materials, to
minimize or eliminate any transfer of sound between staterooms.
All exterior stainless rails were upgraded to the same size as those installed on our larger 80'
to 88' series. The spacious aft deck has a custom enlarged teak table and built in seating, with
wet bar and refrigerator, wing doors, and twin staircases to an extended integrated swim
platform. Covered side decks also include exterior access to an on-deck head.
Moving forward from the aft deck into the salon, one can only by impressed with a layout that
maximizes seating and is embellished with beautiful joinery, and many custom décor additions.
With two steps up to beautiful well equipped galley and on deck head opposite, there are no
fixed bulkheads to a spacious Pilothouse with comfortable seating, two upgraded powered
Stidd chairs and upgraded dining table. Not only is rear vision unobstructed from the lower
helm, but the feeling is that you have just entered a much larger yacht. In addition, an
electrically powered rising wall, beautifully decorated on both sides, is integrated into the aft
section of the Pilothouse seating, and can be raised for night time travel, or simply to provide
separation from the galley if that area is being used extensively, or in the salon, should owner's
or guests are enjoying the upgraded entertainment features of this yacht in the salon. A
cleverly designed aft staircase in the salon, leads down to the second set of washer and
dryers, and a 4th cabin or crew area with dinette seating, large double berth cabin with ensuite
head, galleyette, plus access through a transom door to the extended swim platform area aft or
entry forward into full height air conditioned engine room. Electronics, and AV systems
throughout the yacht were chosen for ultimate performance rather than cost. On the foredeck
the windlass was upgraded, and optional lounge-type seating in lieu of the standard bench
seating.
The wide planked teak and wenge trimmed interior flooring was installed through the vessel,
and is complemented by extensive use of marble, granite and other custom stone choices and
other unique trim. For ease of owner operation, the full stand up engine room allows excellent
access to equipment and systems with fore and aft doors. The Sea Torque enclosed shaft
system produces additional fuel efficiency and in combination with additional soundproofing
allows the yacht to be whisper quiet underway.
The flybridge with upgraded powered Stidd helm chairs provides substantial seating with
tables under a large hardtop. The boat deck has safety features which includes two six person
emergency rafts, a large BBQ grill with twin 20 lb LP tanks, 1,700 lb fully hydraulic davit, a fully
equipped 14' AB Oceanus 14 VST with a 60hp Evinrude mounted athwart ships, exterior hatch
and full staircase to the aft deck, a custom Vetrazzo bar and sufficient additional area for
entertaining and other items such as kayaks or scooters, with more usable deck space than
many larger vessels.
Additionally, for sun protection, the yacht has an awning from the aft end of the hardtop to
stainless rails, which can be stored easily when not in use. The list of upgrades on this 2019
700 model, which were detailed in numerous design sessions, are the most extensive and
detailed of any 70' built to date.
