Description: Delphia 29
Go to that place in your heart where sailing lives. Ghost along in a zephyr. Bound along in a breeze. NEW FOR 2014. The popular Delphia 29 has returned, but totally revamped. With a new deck, keel, rig, rudder this incredibly roomy 29 footer with two private double cabins is now also available with 3 double cabins, as an option. The earlier 29's are rarely found for sale secondhand, as the owners simply don't want to part with them. The earlier 29's sailed very well, but sailing performance is further enhanced with the new keel and rig. This boat is a delight, is well equipped to suit Australian conditions with a CE "A" rating for 6 and offshore sailing, not often seen in a yacht of this size. A centreboard version is available if you sail in particularly shallow waters, as is an outboard engine instead of the standard equipped inboard diesel and shaft driven prop. This boat has a lovely warm and comfortable interior, with timber finishes in light mahogany, but optional timbers are available as an option, including Beech, Walnut, or Cherry.
Delphia have excelled with this yacht, and it is a credit to both the designer and the builder. Sailing performance is good, nimble, stable and responsive to the helm, it is a joy to sail, and easily handled. A white hull is standard with blue boot topping stripes, and other hull colours are an option. Photographs are of the centreboard version. As sailors ourselves, we have specced this boat above basic sailaway, as we would like it and how we feel you may like it, to be well equipped and suitable for Australian conditions.
