Description: Swarbrick Spacesailer 27
Spacesailer 27s are easy to sail seaworthy boats ideal as a starter boat for relaxed family sailing up to competive river racing with the active SS27 association racing calendar. Two SS27s have done circumnavigations. This example used to be a regulary raced "river boat" and I've used it for sailing to Rottnest and relaxed sailing out of HYC. Over the seven years I've owned Calico I've done many upgrades to make it more seaworthy, comfortable and reliable for the single handed sailing I've mainly use it for. Its been anti fouled and propspeed applied in April 2024. The the sail drive diaphragm and final drive seals were also replaced at this time. Other upgrades at this time included sailing instruments, cabin windows. Calico has a more appealing fitout than most other SS27s I've seen being a fully lined with doors on lockers and with a saloon top opening hatch. I've purchased another boat so Calico needs a new home.
