MUMM 36 COOKSONS (NZ) MODIFIED  

MAGIC is an impeccably maintained vessel with fully modernised B&G electronics, polars and sail wardrobe. Built in New Zealand in 1994, as MEAN MACHINE she was part of the winning Dutch Admirals cup team in 1999, before spending time racing in Hong Kong waters. She found her way to Sydney in the early 2000s and was modified in around 2006. Her mast was moved back some 30cms, the rig converted to a fractional rig and an extra 250kg added to her keel. As MAGIC she came to Adelaide in 2017 and has won many regattas. She is the current AMS Div 1 SA State Champion, having won this 3 times in the last 5 years, and the current CYCSA AMS Short Offshore Championship winner. New carbon firbe rudder and bearings in 2021. A Fred Barratt prodder was added in 2022 for code zero and asym sails. She is a fast boat, capable of 25 kts in the right condtions (and crew).
